Celebrate Winston-Salem's distinct features with a new tableware set

Give your typical china patterns a rest, and go local when you set your table. A new cityscape collection commemorates the essence of Winston-Salem in a unique and useable way. Fourteen iconic images—from the Moravian Lovefeast to the downtown skyline—take shape as hand-drawn illustrations on a variety of white porcelain china and textile pieces.

“It’s a wonderful conversation starter,” designer Susan Wimberly says. “Using this for entertaining shows an appreciation of the city and encourages great dialogue.”

She relied on a blend of research and conversations with locals to decide on Winston-Salem’s “best” representations and develop her creations.

Featuring places, landmarks, and customs that reflect the history and spirit of the Twin City, the black-and-white design is fun and fashionable. The Winston-Salem collection consists of a square platter, oval platter, salad plate, small square plate, coffee mug, wine glass, ornament, tea towel, tote bag, and apron; new pieces will be introduced every few months as select ones are retired.

Items are sold separately, and prices range from $16.50 to $42. The collection is currently available at Dewey’s Bakery, Bo-Ty Florist, Note Worthy, and Salem Creek.
